Pardon my French, but Betty Aldworth is the shit!
As Executive Director of Students of Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), Betty is at the helm of an international network of students dedicated to ending the war on drugs.
SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future. SSDP is creating the next generation of cannabis and drug policy leaders.
Prior to joining SSDP, Betty served as spokesperson and advocacy director for Colorado's successful 2012 campaign to regulate marijuana like alcohol; the same committee responsible for legalizing, taxing, and regulating cannabis for adults in Colorado. She was also the Deputy Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association for a bit.
Betty's combiation of intellect, warmth, and passion make it a no-brainer why she's able to inspire thousands of students all over the world to become drug policy activists and leaders.
